Modular / Indexable / APCT Square Shoulder / Cutter Heads

APCT 90⁰ Indexable cutter are used for shoulder milling, face milling, slotting, pocketing, ramping, and plunge milling.  Using a thick insert with a chip groove design on it creates excellent chip ejection. Being a thicker insert APCT indexable cutters are great for roughing operations. Since these inserts have a precision ground cutting edge APCT cutters can be used for roughing to finishing operations. Modular / Indexable / APCT / Back-Draft / Cutter Heads

Very similar to the APCT square shoulder cutters however the insert pocket has a 3⁰ back draft.  The 3⁰ back draft eliminates material rub caused by the back of an insert while milling, in return a 3⁰ back draft creates a better cutting finish.  The 3⁰ back draft also gives you the option just to cut with the insert corner radius.  APCT Back Draft cutter are primarily used for profile and contour milling on semi-finishing to finishing applications but can be used on other general machining and roughing applications. Special cutters can be made on request.

Modular / Indexable / CDEW Square Shoulder / Cutter Heads

CDEW 90⁰ Indexable cutter are used for shoulder milling, face milling, slotting, pocketing, ramping, and plunge milling.  Being a smaller insert design allows this cutter to have more flutes for applications requiring higher RPM’s.  Since the inserts are smaller a flat top design was given to strength the cutting edge of the insert.  Since these inserts have a precision ground cutting edge CDEW cutters can be used for roughing to finishing operations. Special cutters can be made on request.

An all-purpose cutter Troy Industries Indexable Plunge cutters can be used on a wide range of cutting applications.  Designed to offer high productivity and security in die making, aerospace, and automotive industries.  These cutters are ideally suited for profile/contour milling, deep cavity & pocket milling, plunge milling, corner radius milling, slotting, hole milling and general face milling where high metal removal is required.  The cutter body and inserts also have a high rigidity design making it great for long reach applications as well.  Also being center cutting these cutters and can drill into materials and avoid tooling crashes that occur with non-center cutting tools. Special cutters can be made on request.

Modular / Indexable / Multi-Flute / Plunge / Cutter Heads

Troy Industries Indexable Multi-Flute Plunge Cutters are very similar to the Indexable Plunge Cutters described above but these cutters are not center cutting.  However, these cutters have multiple flutes on them allowing increased speeds and feeds.  The cutters are still ideally suited for profile/contour milling, deep cavity & pocket milling, plunge milling, corner radius milling, slotting, hole milling and general face milling where high metal removal is required.  The cutter body and inserts also have a high rigidity design making it great for long reach applications as well. Special cutters can be made on request.

Modular / Indexable / Button / Face Mill / Cutter

Troy Industries Indexable Button/Face Mill Cutter are very similar to the Indexable Multi-Flute Plunge Cutters described above but have a few differences.  One difference is these cutters do not have the modular Interloc System on them but instead they can mount onto standard shell mill/face mill adapters.  Another difference is these cutters come in larger cutting diameters which are perfect for roughing operations on larger milling machines with increased horse power and torque. Special cutters can be made on request.

Indexable AECW high performance aluminum cutters.  Having a high positive rake angle and using Troy Industries AECW inserts with a sharp cutting edge makes this cutter the excellent choice for milling aluminum applications.  Cutters are used for shoulder milling, face milling, slotting, pocketing, ramping, and plunge milling.  The inserts also have a precision ground cutting edge on them allowing you to use AECW indexable cutter heads for finishing applications as well. Special cutters can be made on request.

AXMT inserts have a precision pressed cutting edge, unlike our precision ground cutting edge Inserts. Being pressed gives the AXMT inserts the benefit of having a lower insert cost and are suitable for general purpose milling on roughing & semi-finishing applications. Troy Industries Indexable Modular Spot Facers:  These center cutting spot facers are available with Troy Industries modular patented Interloc system and also available as a standard Weldon flat.  Plunge cut straight in up to 1/2” deep and peck drill up to 1 inch deep.  Being center cutting these cutters are creat for creating flat surface holes without the use of a center drill.  Special Spot facer can be made on request.
